‘Trapped’ score wins Eddan Award

Jóhann's collaborative score with Hildur Gudnadóttir and Rutger Hoedemaekers for the BBC TV series Trapped won the award for best score at the "Icelandic Oscars" Eddan. Screened across the globe, the Icelandic series created by Baltasar Kormákur has been a major success with both critics and viewers alike. The score has had an exceptional reception receiving pronounced praise in the press surrounding the series. In the words of  The Guardian ''As the music of Jóhann Jóhannsson swoops over epic images of vast glaciers, wide plains and a frothing sea, interspersed with uncomfortable close-ups of the bloodshot eyeballs and grubby fingernails of a corpse, you know this show intends to soar.''.
